Mother Mariam School is located in Telawi, a small town in the eastern part of the Georgian Republic. It is the only school within the region that accepts disabled children. Unfortunately, as yet the school is not properly equipped to enable access for children in wheelchairs to all necessary areas of the school building. Moreover, most of the children sitting in wheelchairs have no possibility to reach the school from their homes. Thus, the Integrative Schule Frankfurt, which has built up a strong friendship to Mother Mariam School, approached PfefferminzGreen e.V. with the request to find a solution for bringing these children to school (and kindergarten) in the mornings and back to their homes in the afternoons.
All turnover generated with this release will therefore be invested into a disability-friendly van, which will have enough room both for the children and their wheelchairs. All further donations will be used for improving the school’s facilities, in order to help create a disability-friendly environment for Mother Mariam School.
